On Tuesday, July 29th, the "Otsuka Stadium Pre-Party" was held at Commerce Media Corporation's Otsuka headquarters.
More than 20 people participated on the day, and the town of Otsuka was filled with people and enthusiasm, making for a gentle and peaceful evening.
In this article, we will introduce the concept and background of Otsuka Stadium, operated by Commerce Media Co., Ltd., as well as its future goals, in the form of an event report.
What is Otsuka Stadium?

Greetings from Otsuka Stadium General Manager Yamada (Human Resources Manager, Commerce Media)
Since the COVID-19 pandemic, the frequency of employees coming to the office at Commerce Media has decreased to about once a week, and office occupancy rates have fallen to around 15%.
Meanwhile, our company representative, Izawa, had long been concerned about the problem, saying, "It would be a waste to leave this large space unused."
We reconsidered the possibilities of the office, and wondered if it could be a place where people can meet, connect, and generate new ideas , rather than just a place to "work ." And we wanted to contribute to the local community of Otsuka, Toshima Ward.
The "Otsuka Stadium Concept" was born from the above issues. The background to the concept is the existence of "GRANDSLAM," a co-working space operated under the elevated tracks of JR Fukushima Station in Osaka.

With its unique concept of a "stadium concept," GRANDSLAM has continued to create spaces that are not just workspaces, but also spaces where people's passion can be conveyed and support can be generated.

Now, with the addition of GRANDSLAM as our partners, the Otsuka Stadium concept is becoming more realistic. Otsuka Stadium will provide a place that represents Tokyo and is a place where people can gather.
The location is Otsuka, Tokyo, where Commerce Media's headquarters are located. Considering the appeal and potential of this town, and with a view to contributing to the local community of Toshima Ward, we aim to create a space that can be used for multiple purposes, such as coworking, event space, and photography studio.
At the heart of the concept is the value of a stadium, which is that it brings people together and creates excitement . As the first step, we have now begun an experiment in creating a space called "Phase 0" using our own office.
The "Otsuka Stadium Pre-Party" held this time was the kickoff event.

Scenes from the Otsuka Stadium pre-party

Cheers with Orion Draft pre-party design cans!!
The main part of the event started with self-introductions by all participants. There was some tension at the beginning, but as the conversation progressed, the venue naturally became lively and energetic.
It was impressive to see how the words exchanged at various points lightened the atmosphere and brought the participants closer together.

During the free talk session in the second half, participants from different industries and fields interacted with each other, gradually creating new connections.
Although many people had been connected on social media for some time, this was their first time meeting in person, and it was clear throughout the event that relationships were deepening through real-life conversations.

Conversations that lead to future collaborations, such as "Let's do an event together next time!!" naturally arise. Participants commented that they gained new values and connections, and we believe that the event was an opportunity to gain diverse perspectives and awareness.
That night, Otsuka's office became a one-night "stadium" of connections and dialogue.
Future developments at Otsuka Stadium

Otsuka Stadium plans to use this pre-party as an opportunity to hold regular events.
We will continue to conduct experiments with the aim of creating a "stadium-like space" where people's enthusiasm can flow, transcending the boundaries between companies and regions, and individuals and organizations.
Please look forward to future events organized by Commerce Media!
