The news was announced out of the blue.
"Instagram releases shopping feature in Japan."
Until now, integration between Shopify and Instagram was only possible in certain countries, but it has now finally been lifted in Japan.
Requirements for connecting Shopify and Instagram
This is good news for shop owners who have been steadily using Instagram up until now, but at present there has been no official announcement or explanation of how to set it up from Shopify.
When I checked the shop account that we operate, I found that it was very easy to link, so I would like to introduce how to do it.
conditions
1. Connect your Shopify account to your Facebook page
2. Link your Instagram and Facebook pages
These two are the prerequisites for collaboration.
As a way to connect,
Instagram ⇔ Facebook ⇔ Shopify
In this way, the Facebook page acts as a hub to make this collaboration possible.
I will introduce each of these integration methods in a separate article at a later date.
Directing users from Instagram to Shopify
If the connection is successful, a shopping bag icon will appear on your Instagram post, as shown in the screenshot below.
Tapping on a photo will allow you to view product details, and tapping on the "Purchase" link will take you to the shop page.
