By linking with Facebook, you will be able to use a function called "Shop." In this "Shop," you will be able to sell products registered on Shopify.

When purchasing a product, users are redirected to the website, where they can be guided smoothly through the purchase.

How to connect Shopify to Facebook

1. Create a Facebook Page

To connect Shopify and Facebook, first create a Facebook page. (If you already have a Facebook page, see the next section, "Add a sales channel.")

From " FACEBOOK for Business ", click "Create a Facebook Page".

On the "Facebook Page Creation Screen", select the page category. If you select "Business or Brand", you will be taken to the screen shown below.

Enter a "Page Name" and add a "Category" to complete creating your Facebook page.

2. Add sales channel

On the Shopify admin screen, click the "+" button to the right of "Sales Channels" in the left sidebar. This will bring up the "Add Sales Channel" screen.

When the "Add Sales Channel" screen appears, click the "+" button to the right of "Facebook Shop." Then, "Facebook Shop" will appear under "Online Store" in the left sidebar of the Shopify admin screen, as shown in the image below.

Click "Account" under "Facebook Shop." On the "Account" page that appears, click "Connect Account."

This will open the Facebook page in a new tab and a confirmation screen for linking your accounts will appear. Log in to Facebook to link your accounts.

After that, you will receive a notification email from Shopify after your application has passed Facebook's review. (The review may take up to 48 hours, but it may be approved immediately.)

If you pass the review, the products registered on Shopify will be automatically posted on Facebook. You can choose whether or not to post your products on Facebook from the Shopify admin screen.

How to connect Shopify to Instagram

1. Create an Instagram account

To connect Shopify and Instagram, first create an Instagram account. (If you already have an Instagram account, see the next section, "Add a sales channel.")

If you don't have an Instagram account, create one from the URL above. Note that Instagram does not distinguish between personal and business accounts at the account creation stage. (You can easily change to a business account after creating your account.)

Once you have an Instagram account, the next step is to add it as a sales channel in your Shopify admin panel.

2. Add sales channel

The way to set up the Instagram sales channel on the Shopify admin screen is almost the same as the way we set it up for Facebook earlier.

In the Shopify admin screen, click the "+" button to the right of "Sales Channels" in the sidebar. This will bring up the "Add Sales Channel" screen.

When the "Add Sales Channel" screen appears, click the "+" button to the right of "Instagram." This will bring up the "Instagram Integration Page" shown below.

Click Add a sales channel. Instagram has now been added as a sales channel.

3. Facebook and Instagram integration

Next, connect Facebook and Instagram. This connection is required in order to use product tags in your Instagram posts.

Click [Access the Facebook Shopping Channel]. The Facebook screen will then be displayed, so select the Facebook account you set up in the previous section, "How to connect Shopify to Facebook."

From here, Instagram's review will begin, and you will receive a notification within a week that the connection has been set up.

Once the review is complete, link your Facebook page via the Instagram app.

In the Instagram app, go to the menu (hamburger mark) and select [Settings] > [Business] > [Link to Facebook Page]. Select the Facebook page you have set up and you're done.

Now your Instagram connection is complete and you can tag products from your Shopify store in your posts.
